University of Aberdeen

I am grateful, at last, to return to Aberdeen. Five years ago I began an academic journey as a distance PhD student, benefitting from the resources of the university and the oversight of my advisor, Paul Nimmo. We planned to return for study several years ago, but COVID got the best of those plans. It was a gift to return to the far north of Scotland in order to spend an evening with Paul and properly thank him for his first-class guidance and patience.

It was also a gift to share this place with my family, especially Melissa, who made the sacrifices necessary for this to happen. Behind us is the King’s College Chapel and tower which lies at the heart of the School of Divinity.
